Hi Fellow Fibro People

Does anyone take any of these Vitamins (B12 or Vitamin D) on a regular basis?  If you do, do they help you in anyway?  If they do please post your info.

Thanks!

Ginger

I take Vitamin D on a regular basis.  I had a blood test which showed it was on the low end so I take a D3 liquid supplement.  If I stop taking it my D goes low again.  I looked some things up and found people with FM do tend to have issues with D.  Now I monitor it regularly and supplement.  I found I need to have it at least at 70 ng/ml for optimal results.  When it's lower I have issues with joint pain and sleep.  My sleep has been great since I've been monitoring my D levels.

I don't take B12 by itself, but I do take a B-complex which I have ever since I was a teen.  I had my levels tested and they were right where they should be for an ideal level.

I really think the vitamin D issue is huge for people with Fibromyalgia.

Hi, Ginger.

Yes, I take both, but not individual supplements. I take an all natural, liquid vitamin, mineral + supplement (1 oz. daily) that has both included in it. Since being on this combo supplement (about 4 mos. now) I have seen a marked decrease in pain, better sleep, better skin conditions, stopped having to take a daily allergy pill. It is supposed to help with bone/joint, immune system, sleep, heart, eye, energy and more.

I take multivitamins for fibro. The packet contains B-12, D, E and malic acid, potassium. I have RLS with my fibro so I take extra potassium and it helps.  Since I started, I have been able to stop taking Requip for RLS. I still have flair ups but not like before when my legs hurt every minute of everyday.  B-12 helps a lot with energy.
