Glad to have you back here, LM! We've missed you! I hope that you are getting over all the illnesses that have been piling on top of you since you got sick with the flu. And I hope that your kids are doing better.

As for myself, I've been a little stressed and really tired. This semester has been a difficult one for DH and school has stressed him out a lot. And when he gets stressed, it affects me as well. We were supposed to have gone to NC for the Renaissance faire the weekend of October 10-11, but the trip got canceled because on October 5th we rescued two orphaned three week old kittens. They needed to be bottle-fed around the clock every four hours. There was no way that I was taking these precious babies to the pound. They don't have the resources/manpower to nurse unweaned kittens, so they would've been euthanized as soon as they arrived. I was able to keep going until Friday nights and then I'd take my sleeping med and sleep in the guest room while DH took care of the kittens.

The kittens are now learning to eat solid food, though we still bottle-feed them every six hours now. However, we are going to the Ren faire this weekend. The vet tech at the clinic we go to has graciously volunteered to watch the kittens for us over the weekend. Both DH and I really need to get out of town for a couple of days, so we're both really looking forward to this trip.

As for my fibro, I haven't been doing too badly. I actually feel pretty good. The doctor upped my dosage of Cymbalta to 60mg and I think that it has helped me quite a bit. I think also that the fact that it's fall, which is my favorite season, has helped a lot as well. I'm always miserable during the summer and I flared really badly this summer. So the change in the weather has been a good thing for me.

Glad to have you back...hope you and the family are all well once again!

Fall is my favorite time of the year too! I'm doing great...most days I have little or no pain and have not had any flares for quite some time. I only need one pain pill at bedtime. The days the temps have been below 70 my muscles will tighten up, so I've started taking a quarter of my muscle relaxant pill when I get up, then another quarter at lunchtime...and still take a whole pill at bedtime. My prescription is 1 2xdaily as needed so I'm still able to take less than allowed--yay! The temps are back into the upper 70s/low 80s once again, which my body thinks is ideal (lol)!

I'm getting ready to take a road trip for a few days to get away to visit friends and family, so it will be a nice break from DH and the daily grind of having to be in our shop, since business has slowed for the season.

Thank you, I missed you guys too!

That's great the Cymbalta is helping you, I am SOOO glad I agreed to try it again. HUGE difference.

My goodness, how did you come to get the baby kitties??? The two kittens we adopted in May came in about that age w/ a stray momma. We have finally figured out they are Manx, initially they could not locate records but thought surgery was done on their tails because of infection and/or frostbite. Turns out they are just Manx, which explains their long back legs, HUGE feet and slow growth. I love kitties. Our older cat lived with his feral momma, and she taught him well. Since his arrival we've pretty much not seen 1 mouse (everyone around here has mice) and he's taught the kittens to mouse. Between the 3 of them, NO mice EVER. Love it!! :D

Have fun at the Ren Faire, I know you really love that. Sounds like you guys really need a getaway!

That's great you have been feeling so well! YAY!! I love Fall too. We have already had 2 snowstorms, so I definitely feel the achiness when the pressure and temp starts going down. Tues was 78, yesterday was low 30's w/ snow and today is around 60. Go figure! :D

I have increased flexeril to 2 a day, at night. It makes me sleepy, so during the day doesn't work and splitting the pills is useless, I might as well take Tylenol.
