wow, do NOT get H1N1! It SUCKS!!!! We got the 2nd part of it, the GI stuff and I don't know what was worse. My oldest missed another whole week of school. She and I now have ear/sinus infections. :( My son has been struggling w/ some depression/mood issues as well as my niece. My parents and brother (that's his daughter) have all been out of the country so it's been really hard. I think maybe the worst is behind us. i hope.

Hope you'll all check in w/ ROLL CALL and we can all catch up!

Have you or your family been tested for vitamin D deficency?  It has been shown to also help with immine system helth.  I was dx'd deficent and a level of 7 last testing was 42, it should be 60.  Since I started taking the D, I haven't been severly sick, yes I was hoping it would clear up my pain from Fibro but it didn't happen:(  lol  The site below answers a lot of questions on vitamin D.

Let's hope so...just takes time to get over all of it and build yourself back up again, especially when you have to take care of others along with being sick.

I don't know if I had H1N1 or not, but I did have the flu...aches, fever, loss of appetite for a week, then felt good for two days before the sinus infection hit and had to go to the doctor...it was far worse than the other stuff!

Yes, I have been tested, at least 9 months ago, and I take supplements. I have since been re-tested and my levels are normal. I can't remember the numbers though. I don't feel a lot different, but perhaps I have not had some cold or something that I might have had before the supplements.

Exactly. The H1N1 was just brutal and I am sure made us more likely to get whatever else is going around. The 2nd part of it, the GI stuff, was really, really horrible. I pretty much didn't have anything except Gatorade for 10 days or so. I hate Gatorade, even the smell of it, so you know I'm really sick when it's all I want. I have only had semi-normal food in the last few days. I had something very similar last xmas and spent several days in the hospital and got tested for everything on the planet. Now that I think back, it had to be H1N1 because before the GI stuff I definitely had typical flu stuff but 10 times worse than normal. So, I just figured there was no reason to go to the hospital this time and go through all that again (some tests were extremely invasive) only to be told I have a virus.

I am sorry you had any kind of flu, it's the worst feeling. Like, I already thought everything hurt pretty bad, but it sure got MUCH worse. I am SOOOOOOO fatigued now. The good news is I have completed xmas shopping online and I will not have to enter a mall or store besides grocery! YAY!
