Okay, I am sick & twisted. I'm sick, literally, have a TON of crap to do around the house...

like, ya know. Clean off/out the fridge, clean the pantry (ugh!), clean the whole dining room, tidy up the patio out back, winterize the boat (UGH!), do a TON of housework, clean and organize both the office and the bedroom and the closet. And I'm sick with a cold.

Oh... and then there's new furniture to assemble, plus 3 new windows and a new back door to get installed ASAP. Oh... and the in-laws are here this weekend!!!

Can I have a coronary yet? *lol*

I love my in-laws, actually - they're awesome! But they're stopping by our house first, when they come up from Oregon this Friday or Saturday. So... house needs to get spotless, stat!

But I'm just excited for Xmas!!! I'm gonna do a ton since I'm laid off. We have TONS of decorations and I am SO going all-out this year. Last year I was working OT and I didn't do much. No outside lights, that's fine. But inside lights? YES! In the windows! WOOHOO!!

Plus I'm doing all the wrapping with home-made stuff like big, oversized tags with funky stuff added on. And most of the xmas gifts are homemade things, like cranberry liqueur and cinnamon spice liqueur, which I have fermenting right now! YUM!

I'm just excited! Now I better get off of here, go take a shower, and get my butt into gear. This cold will not hold me back! :D

Good luck with all of that!!!!! We had to bust a move last FRI. Our maids didn't come and we had a Halloween party on SAT night. I can't do half of what you are planning on.

I have gift shopping done, but no plans for decorating much.

Honestly, I wouldn't normally do this much. But we're going to be out of down for Xmas itself, so I want to get us a chance to hang out with the friends before everything gets insane!

That, and I love xmas decorating. The cleaning won't be too hard. I've got a ton of it done already, and right now the biggest challenge is the back patio, which needs MAJOR clean-up before the holidays. We've been in the midst of updating our house, so we've got about 40 pieces of moulding that are 12' long each. UGH! Luckily we have a nice patio and a patio heater, so once I get the stuff moved into our storage shed in a few days, it should be a great place to hang out, even with the crappy PNW winters. =)

The one thing I think I'm crazy to do is put up lights outside. I want to get a couple strings of the big C-9 bulbs and do them around the front of our house, under the gutters. But this is high up, and I am short. Perhaps I can recruit a tall friend who isn't afraid of heights or spiders to help me, haha!

I'm just feeling like since we've got all this stuff going on - just married, remodeled house that is probably 80% finished, new furniture, all that? I want to show it off!

Thank you for the good luck wishing. I'm gonna need it!

Today is "find the xmas decor" day. Wish me a spider-free adventure, haha!

We've remodeled too. We did the upper floor this summer, and the main floor Spring 08. I don't feel like entertaining though. Basically the house just needed it, and I needed something to force me to de-clutter.

Dh worked on te basement this week, so things are semi-organized down there. I could care less. I never go in the basement unless I have to, and I'm not the one that makes the mess down there! ;)
