Possible gall bladder problems

I am 4 1/2 months pregnant and my doctor thinks my gall bladder may be giving me problems. I do have an ultrasound in a couple of weeks to find out for sure. My question is: What in the world do I eat??? I've tried looking online and it lists a lot of stuff to avoid, but I don't know what is safe to eat. Also, since I'm pregnant I want to make sure I'm eating enough nutrients for the baby. Any suggestions?

Hi there Laura and welcome to the board!

It must be hard for you dealing with this during pregnancy. I can understand your concerns about nutrition. The main offenders for gall bladder disease are high fat and fried foods, though, so it should be okay to eat most things that don't fall into those categories. So fruits, vegetables, low fat dairy, lean meats, whole grains and all that healthy stuff should not be any problem for you. Keep a food diary and if any particular food seems to cause problems, then eliminate that from your diet.
