I've been off BCP since June. My husband and I have been TTC since July and are still not pregnant. We're both 30 and are really wanting to be pregnant within the year.

I've been using the Clearblue Easy Fertility kit for the last few months and only trying to conceive around the days that I'm most fertile. I've gone as far as laying on top of old pillows immediately after to help with the process (I've read that it may work...to help the sperm reach the egg).

I haven't tried the basel temparture approach yet because of the fact that you have to use this method after ovulation.

My concern now is that either I'm not ovulating or that there is something wrong with my husbands sperm.

Any other tricks or tips on how we can become more successful in our efforts to conceive?

Thanks,

SM

Remember that it does take most couples, with no known fertility issues, about 8-12 months to conceive, so please don't get discouraged yet.

If you haven't already, it might ease your mind to go ahead and talk to your doctor about your efforts to conceive, see what testing is available or if your doctor recommends charting your temperatures to determine fertility, etc.

I read "Taking Charge of your Fertility" by Toni Weschler and now more than my doctor about my cycle. There is a wealth of information your body is giving you all the time if you know how to read it. This book was like a translation. I used it successfully as birth control for 12 years, then I laxed on the method just a little and got pregnant immediately.
read it cover to cover and good luck!!

And also detoxifying your body will help also. Freeing your body from all of those man-made drugs need to get rid out of the body to operate properly. I hope this suggest help you as it has help me. I have eight children.
