My name is Lisa and I was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the cervix stage 1B in 1997. I had a radical hysterectomy and am now 12 years cancer free :o)

My name is Michele, I was diagnosed with Stage 1B2 in June 09. Went in for hysterectomy, came out without one. Tumor was found in my lymphnodes. Next step chemo and radiation.

I actually have an appt today for my post op.

 

                                        

All under control in my world (at last!). Had my first good colposcopy since 2007 - so I'm quite delighted. Still awaiting pap test results - but we are assuming they are fine since the colposcopy was fine. I have to call tomorrow to see if they are available yet.

Michelle - in another post you'd asked about chemo or radiation. I had chemo in 1997 / 1998 for Lupus (cyclophosphamade with dexamethasone) and this past February I had 5x internal radiation treatments for VaIN 3 (cancer cells on the surface of the vagina - kinda like skin cancer). If you have any questions (anything!) that I may be able to help you with or share an experience - don't be afraid to ask.
