Hey Everyone. I have a question. I already got the first two Gardasil shots, but I never went back to get my third one, mostly because I didn't have the money at the time. i was supposed to get the third two months ago, and i probably will never get it. So what does this mean... will the two shots protect me from any of the diseases or no? am i immune to anything or was it just a waste of time and money since i didn't get the last shot? Thank you!!

I'm not a medical professional - but please check with your health care provider. They will be able to give you the best advice and suggest a course of action.

Just a reminder that the vaccine isn't a guarantee that you won't get cervical or other gyn cancers - not all cases are caused by the HPV virus. It's still important to have regular internal exams and paps.

My GYN told me to get the last shot anyway, even though I was quite late on it. By the time I got around to it, I had just been diagnosed with CINI/II. HTH.

I agree, call a healthcare professional and ask them. I am bringing both of my daughter's for their 3rd and final shot next Tues. I will ask their doctor that same question and see what she says too.

Ok, my girls went yesterday. One of my daughter's received the third and final shot. The doctor would not give the other one her third and final shot because she had a reaction to the 2nd shot. She had developed vomiting, fever and body aches the night of her 2nd shot, and the doctor said it's a reaction that 5 % of women get, so she wants to play it safe and not give her anymore. I asked if she would be protected now and her response was that she would be somewhat protected but not as much as having all 3 shots would have done. She stated that even the women who do get all 3 shots are not 100% protected anyway. She also told me that some children who have reactions to their MMR shots and such when they are babies don't go on to get the final boosters yet almost all of them are still not getting the disease the bosster is intended to protect them from. Hope that helps a bit.
