If so, I have a few questions, because I may have to get one done.  I've read all about it, but I'd rather hear from women who have actually had the procedure done.

1. How long were you out of commission, meaning unable to work, go to school, etc. after your procedure?

2. How painful is the procedure? Do they numb/drug/put you down for the procedure?

3. How painful is it after?

Thanks in advance!

I have, twice. I was feeling a little crampy during the day of, but had I needed to I would have been able to work or go to school that day, definitely the day after. I was numbed up w/ lidocaine and only felt pressure. Everyone is different, but most women do not experience a lot of pain. The nervousness about it was worse I think.

I hope if you get one it goes smoothly and the results are clear. Good luck

Hello, I had one several years ago.  I know you posted a while ago but I thought I'd answer just in case you haven't had it yet.  I was told I'd be under general anesthetic for it but they didn't actually put me under, just made me a bit out of it.  :-)  It hurt a teensy tiny bit while they were doing it.....more like a long pinch than anything....but it was over very quickly.  I experienced no pain at all afterwards and was back at work the next day.  I didn't even have any discharge that they warn you about.  So...my experience was very good and luckily they got it all on that first leep.  :-)  Good luck to you!
