Just wanted to introduce myself to this group - I live in the UK but couldn't find a HIV support group on the UK version of Ivillage so was pointed over to you guys by a friend!
I was diagnosed hiv+ August last year after the death of my partner last March from what we now know was an AIDS related infection (cerebral toxioplasmosis). (Post mortem brain analysis takes months in UK!!! V long story). Neither of us knew our status....
I'm 25F and have a little girl who is nearly 2 - (who is fit and well).
I'm a very upbeat and positive person - everything in life happens for a reason is my motto...
Anyhow, thats a basic introduction - but I'm looking forward to hopefully being able to chat to other positive people and families.
