A bit about me first. I had my son Dec 2008. Depo shot in Jan, and that was my one and only. AF returned to normal in June. Now three months later and I haven't seen AF. So I went to the DR, and am being told its not pregnancy but possibly my thyroid or anemia (I've always been borderline anemic). I'm having a hard time getting the pregnancy weight off (a total of 50 pounds gained), but it is coming off when I work at it. Other than AF going on vacay I feel pretty good. I go in Monday for blood work. Is there anything that I should know or ask at my next appointment??

Hi Lacey,

Welcome to our board.

Sometimes pregnancy can trigger thyroid problems so that might be what has happened in your case. However, I can't say that for sure. When you go in for bloodwork, I would ask if they are going to do the T3 and T4 tests as well as the TSH. It would be good if they could do them all so you get the full picture. Since you're not having many symptoms, it's hard to say if this is related to the thyroid but it's a good place to start looking.
