I use a light weight quilt year round. In the winter sometimes I will add light weight blankets, one at a time, until I'm comfortable (can't sleep if I'm too warm). Last winter I got a new oscillating heater, so I only used the quilt.

I use a lightweight down comforter most of the year.  When it's really hot, I'll usually throw it off and just use the sheet, and when it's really cold I typically add an extra lightweight blanket.

I like having a heavy blanket on - I just like the weight of it on me.

I used to have the heavy on me but now I can't stand to have it on my feet.  So if I'm cold I'll still use the heavy quilt but let my feet hang out!
