Hi Ladies,

Tonight is our orientation!! I really don't know what to expect.

I was hoping some of you might have some pointers or important questions I should ask during orientation.  I feel very anxious, knowing the start of IVF is around the corner!!

Thanks Everyone!!

Tina

HEllo Im new to the ivf but im all ready went thought the Orientation. What i did i let the doc tell me everything that he had to say when i didnt understand something i ask him about it. you should ask maybe how many egg he like to work with? Like my doc he told me if he had one really good egg he was only going to do one. if he had a ok egg and it was all right with us he well do two eggs and which there is a good chance for twins and he went on to make sure that was ok with us alot of doc have there ways of working. if i was you to i well get to know more about your doc. i ask my doc how long has he been doing this and how was his ratio stuff like. As he is talking to you thing well come to you head that you well like to know more about.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to reply to you before your orientation. Hope it went well. I don't really have any suggestions of questions you should have asked, but I wanted to say that you should definitely ask about anything that you don't understand. At first I didn't want to ask anything "stupid." But I found out, there aren't any stupid questions and they are usually pretty good about helping you understand anything that might not have been clear for you.

Hi Tina, I agree with Cilla. Nothing's classified as stupid questions when it comes to IF and IVF. So ask anything you don't understand.

How did it go? It was very informative for me, and I liked interacting with other couples too. Helped break the ice.

Hi Girls,

Thanks for your advice! Orientation went well, found it all overwhelming but I just think of the end result! I didn't have many questions as the Nurse went over everything very well. The nurse advised we shouldn't wear nail polish when we go through the retreival, so I of course had to ask "does the mean no polish on my toes too?" LOL!! Love Pedicures!!

We received the clearance through billing so we are all set to go. Going for my 3rd Day FSH test on Sunday and then waiting for my nurse to call me with the meds the RE will perscribe. Its happening pretty quick; getting excited and nervous!!

Thanks again for your responses! I will be back I am sure once I start the meds... but not looking forward to my husband sticking me; he hates needles!! That should be fun - LOL!!

Have a great weekend - Happy Haloween!!!

Tina
