Need help from runners/walkers
I need some help from runners/walkers. I have been running for over a year now. I have always worn Neutral shoes without much problem. Granted, I have the occassional Plantar Fasciitis flare up and it will side line me from running from a week to a few weeks. Once I feel better, I will return to running. About 2 to 3 weeks ago, my left heel started to hurt after running. It was fine while I was running (never felt the pain) but once I sit down in the office, it will start aching. It hurts the most when I get up to walk around like picking up paper from the printer and what not. I never thought much of it until today. The pain was almost unbearable. When I touched the heel, it felt like there was a lump under the skin, like it was swollen. I am concern about this because it is new to me and I have never experienced anything like it before. What do you think this is? I have taken some ibuprofin and put some ice on it. It does feel a little bit better but once the meds wear off, the pain is back. Do you think it warrants a visit to the family physician just to make sure it is nothing serious? Or just take it easy for a week or 2 until the swelling and pain go away? My current running shoes only have about 150 miles on it so it should be OK for a while. I did purchase a new pair of running shoes just in case it is the shoes that cause the heel problem.
Thanks for any suggestion.

- A setback is only there as long as you allow it to be.
- If you fell off the wagon, just simply jump back on and look forward to the next challenge.
