  • Have you made changes to your diet to help control your OCD symptoms?
  • If yes, what changes have you made (gluten free, Feingold diet, etc) and how do you think they've helped or not helped?
  • If no, why not?  Do you think that making changes to your diet could be beneficial in controlling your OCD?

* Have you made changes to your diet to help control your OCD symptoms? Yes.

* If yes, what changes have you made (gluten free, Feingold diet, etc) and how do you think they've helped or not helped? I make sure I'm adequately hydrated. Go easy on the caffeine. As a rule, I eat a well balanced diet w/little sugar, lo carbs & fat & high in protein. I believe it has reduced my anxiety as a whole. I notice I feel awful when I make poor food choices.

* If no, why not? Do you think that making changes to your diet could be beneficial in controlling your OCD? I don't know if I can ever control the OCD. I do know that when I feel better, I can cope better w/the obssessive thoughts.

Thanks for sharing that Jan.  I do agree that eating healthier can make a world of difference in how one copes with anxiety and other life experiences.
