What tools do you use when you're feeling out of sorts or when you feel an unwanted behavior coming on?

Tools....hmmm..usually a PMS pill LOL (they are from Poland and they are a GODSEND, ask my husband LOL he is thankful for them !!

seriously, I usually clean that way Im doing something productive with my anger instead of eating or yelling, that way I can push the mop hard or slam the washer door and know that later, ive accomplished something and dont feel like a blob.

When I feel out of sorts, like I do right now, I lay back and close my eyes and sing to a cd. whether im in thec ar on my 15 minute break or whether im on my way home , I stop the car and cup myhands over my eyes and sing away. By the time I get home or get done, I feel better, my bad energy is liftedaway and im happy again.

I know you said tools but I guess that falls under that category somehow lol

That pill sure sounds good.  LOL

Your tools sound good.  I can sure use some of your ideas--I hate cleaning when I have to, but I've noticed if I clean when I'm angry it does calm me down--the power of the mop!!!

My favorite tool is calling another compulsive overeater in recovery.  I get to vent a little and he/she reminds me of all the promises of the program and the miracles we've seen happen with people who thought they'd never stop their compulsive eating/purging/binging/starving etc.  Hearing of those successes always cheers me up and motivates me.
