Do you have a problem picking up pills and tablets?  When arranging my daily dose of meds each morning I often have difficulty holding them.   It seems as though my thumb and index fingerer lack a substance that is required to grip small smooth objects.  I pinch but the pill easily slips out. I have also dropped glasses and a dish or 2.  Drives my DW nuts

Great Question Ruben!

My dexterity is not what it used to be, that's for sure! some days are better than others.

I'm on my way to Choir Rehearsal at Church right now, but I plan to log in tomorrow to add more to this thread!

Ruben,

That's one of my biggest issues lately and it's so frustrating.  My fingers seem to have a mind of their own.  I don't know how many dishes I have broken and stuff I have dropped.  Just when I think I have that pill in my fingers, poof, there it goes.  The worst part is my dog will start scurrying trying to eat the pill, so I have to be quick once I do drop it.  Wonder what would happen if she ever gets a hold of one!  :)

I had surgery in June to release a nerve involving the little finger and ring finger of my right hand.  I've had lots of PT and those fingers work pretty well.  However, my fine motor skills involving the other three fingers are pretty bad ... and that is only since the surgery.  I went back and saw the surgeon this week.  He said he was pleased with the outcome of the surgery but didn't know what was going on with these other three fingers, so he is referring me for a nerve conduction test.  I've been wondering if that might be another Parkinson's-related problem.
