So today I am making attempt number four at quitting smoking.  I have fallen off the band wagon in the past for various reasons, drinking alcohol can trigger my use, as well as boredom.  Today is day one all over again, but I really want to quit smoking.  I am getting married in July 2010 and would love to be smoke free completely when I get married.  My fiance is supportive of me, and would love to see me quit, but ultimatly, I'm doing it for me and my health.  Right now is a stressful time since I work full time, am taking three college classes, and obviously planning my wedding....but what I try to remember is that a cigarette isn't going to FIX or HELP anything, including my stress.

I know it's hard, but the important thing is that you're not giving up.  You will beat this!

Actually smoking causes more stress so you have good reasons to quit.

I have not been able to quit and its really depressing me because I don't WANT to quit.

And I'm sick of my hacking cough and I know I will live alot longer if I quit...its really twisted...this addiction.

Good luck to you.

I'm doing ok! 22 days as of today!! I have been using the patch, I'm on the last step. I actually forgot to put the patch on Monday and I did ok then too. I don't want to get too zealous though, I know how easy it is to fall back onto old habits.
