I need some idea of freezable stuff for my little guy...He's 15mths old, and I babysit an 18mth old...it's hard to find time to COOK something for lunch everyday...and sometimes me and my hubby just have something crappy fro supper that I dont want to give him. I've made mac and cheese, soups, and frozen some leftovers in toddler sized portions....but im running out of ideas! he's now in the "i want to feed myself" stage, so anything finger food wise would be great.....casseroles are awesome cause they usually freeze so well....I made all his babyfood, he only had a handful of jars of food...and i dont like those gerber graduates meals...they stink and the veggies look like canned ones and taste gross....lol

any recipes/suggestions?

Pasta in tomato sauce with hamburger (or without), mini meatballs (chicken, turkey, beef, pork etc) homemade chicken nuggets...I'll keep thinking, I'm sure there is more its just not coming to mind right now. Does he eat pizza yet? My two DD's love pizza so we keep a stock of frozen pizza shells in the freezer and just put on the toppings and toss them into the oven. Its a nice quick lunch. I make our shells so that I can make them different sizes for the different people in the family, but we've used store bought ones cut up before too.

All those can probably be cooked, frozen and reheated, or frozen raw and just thrown into a dish and cooked pretty quickly.

What about things like grilled cheese? Or cheese cubes, lunch meat and fruit chunks? Things that dont have to be frozen, or really cooked and are simple to get onto a plate and into a hungry child.

Hi :)

Stews are good to freeze, so are chilis, something quick is beans, they are so good for them and you can open up and heat a can up and they are great finger good.   Another thought is tuna fish, it has a been a fav. of my son since he was about 12 mos.  He is now 9 and still loves it with or without bread :)
