it was my birthday on friday (turned 46) and it was better than i could have imagined, it beat all my expectations.
my birthday started on monday when boots had booked an appointment for me to get my ears pierced (again) and at the same time she got her nose pierced (so sexy). i am a bit of a sook but it was quicker and better than i thought it might be.
wednesday came around and boots had another surprise for me but this one didn't work out. she had organised for my computer to be upgraded coz i always complain about how slow it is. but i took my computer to work for the music and she couldn't get it done, so we decided to put that money towards our house and not worry about the computer.
well finally my birthday came on friday. boots came over in the morning with presents in a bag. she is so good to me and spoils me. a pair of thongs (flip flops), a craft book and some nice lingerie - woohoo. she went to work and i had to work all day too (there should be a law against working on your birthday). i was feeling a bit down coz i was at work. when i arrived and opened up the shop a guy arrived and said "i believe its your birthday" i thought what? how does he know? he ended up being a florist and delivering me the most beautiful bunch of flowers from guess who - boots. she is so thoughtful and i love her so much.
all during the day i had friends call in with cards, presents and well wishes. i had a call from both my mum and dad and contact with all of my kids. i was riding high all day. later in the afternoon boot's daughter turned up with a present she had picked out herself. it was a beautiful necklace. i was very touched. she has good taste and is very thoughtful, she is growing up to be a lot like her mum. and she stopped for a chat too, so that was good, we are building a good relationship.
that night we had organised for a group of our friends from linedancing to go to a concert put on by adam brand. he is an australian country singer. we all met at an italian restaraunt, and had gorgeous food and then on to the concert. adam brand had question cards from the audience which he proceeded to read out during his concert. well the first one read "do you do birthday calls?" and i thought oh someone else is having a birthday today too. but he read out my name. well i was so excited, we were sitting right up the back and i just jumped up with arms in the air and yelled out "its me", and started jumping up and down. felt like a young teenager. later i thought how embarssing that was. but i didn't really care. tried to get his autograph after the concert but the line up was too long and it was getting late (had to work the next day). his concert was so good, i hadn't heard much of his music but it was my sort of country, had a bit of beat to it. loved the night.
