Hello everyone,

How are you all doing with your sanctuary? Are they complete? Have you spent a little time there each day?

I wind up in my sanctuary each evening after I put the kids to bed. Trying to just relax a little bit and not drag a textbook in there to spoil the mood!

I am loving my candles and potpourii, they smell so good.

Hello Lisa!

My sanctuary is not yet complete. But it is serving its purpose anyway. I also am really enjoying my candles! I have a painting that I am completing this weekend that I have put in my sanctuary, and I think that is my favorite part. I am spending time in it every day that I can, which is not every day, but as close as I can get.

Hi, good morning. I can't have fragrances or scents in my sanctuary - sunroom as DH is very sensitive to everything, gets allergic type sinus headaches, and I have tried burning candles and he can smell it in other rooms.

I do have a votive candle burner in my office at work, and I do enjoy them, currently burning a carmel apple one, people going down the hallway enjoy my scents too.

But I love my room regardless, I have some cassette tapes I listen to daily from my therapist o help me on my improving mental health journey, so I listen to them in my sanctuary. When I get home from work, dh is here as he doesn't work anymore due to health problems, but if I had the house to myself, I would love to disappear into it then also.

I do yoga and my other exercising in the living room where the VCR/DVD players are, so skipping doing that in the sunroom.

Today being saturday is Pilates day, which I will do here directly.

have a great weekend everyone. hugs, Josie.

Well-I was using our bedroom and it really needed a good cleaning.  I had made good progress but dh dumped more stuff in there a few days later.  I'm not giving up though-I will pick up the room again and help dh find a place for the stuff he brought in.  Then I will start in on spending time in there everyday just for me.

My sancturay needs to be straighten every morning since it's the bedroom, so generally by the time dbf is out to office the place looks nice again, folding the blankets has become an automatism.

I spend a little time in it everyday, but i made the whole flat peaceful and clean looking, I keep the place clutter free so that wereever I am I have a feeling of peacefulness.

By the evening my sancturay is invaded by dbf's things and becomes a fun zone. Dbf's and I cannot go to sleep wihout craking a few jokes. In the morning we cannot go on with the day without sharing a sweet smiley moment...and a few jokes as well. Smiles and laughter is as much part to our diet as fruits, veggie and water :-)
