Has anyone been diagnosed with the MTHFR gene, and have successfully conceived?

I have had 2 miscarriages this past year and when my doctor did bloodwork on me, he identified I had this.. Just looking for some success stories..

I'm so sorry for your losses. I, too, had 2 m/c before getting the diagnosis of MTHFR heterzygous (there is a difference in treatment between heterzygous & homozygous because the hetero means only 1/2 your genes carry MTFHR, homo means ALL the genes carry it).

I never went to a fertility specialist as my ob/gyn is very up-to-date & felt comfortable treating me. I began a regimen of 5 mg of folic acid, 1 baby aspirin & 1 prenatal (w/ another 1 mg folic acid) PER day for 3 months before ttc again. I had to get a prescription for folic acid because it's such a high daily dose. I'm convinced that's why I now have a beautiful 15 month old little boy (& am doing the same regimen before ttc again in Jan)!

GL to you! Kim
