I have just come through a heart breaking mc. Though not my first mc this one really was heart wrenching. I am 43 and know I don't have very many more chances of becoming pregnant. Not only that i just knew this little bean was going to stick. Felt it in my gut so now i am even questioning my instincts. I almost made it to 12 wks this time and had all the symptoms that I didn't have with other pregnancies that ended to soon. I opted to have the mc naturally which didn't work either and ended up going in for a D&a lot which added insult to injury. I was just so sure with this one. Had all the dreams about the little boy I was going to have. On top of all that because I was so sure everything was going to be fine ended up telling alot of people. So now on the days I feel better emotionally someone will bring it up.

Now all I can think about is wanting to try again ASAP but questioning if I should or not. Anyone else in here in thier 40's and TTC again? Looking for support.

Sweetie, I'm so sorry for your losses.  I'm also glad that you posted on the board.  Losing a baby is just so heart-wrenching, but it doesn't help when you've felt so good about the future that you told people the good news, only to now have it haunt you.  I think almost all of us have been there.  Unfortunately, I don't have personal experience to help you.  However I do have a couple of thoughts.

Have you been on your own TTC, or have you done any work with an RE?  Also, have you done any fertility testing or been offered it?  Doctors offer testing at different times, if at all.  All too often, we are the only advocates for our own care and future.  If you haven't seen an RE and can, I would recommend it.  They are wonderful, and are so incredibly smart!

Also, you might want to look into testing if you haven't already.  Somewhere in the archives of the board is a list of tests and general prices.  If I can find it, I will bump it up for you.  Testing can sometimes answer so many questions!

I hope this helped a little.  We're all always here for you.  Please keep us updated on how you're doing!! *HUGS*

I am so very sorry for your loss.  You have a little angel watching over you.  I had a missed m/c at 12 weeks and had a D and C.  It was such a hard thing to go through.  There are probably some women on the TTC boards that can help you with that.  I am sorry I dont have much advice.

Lots of hugs to you
