A folder for our diet & exercise thread!
Look - we now have gotten rid of the folders we won't use ("Roll Call," "Friday Five," etc.) and have a folder for our diet and exercise tips! This way we can post those tips, ideas, questions, etc. in the separate folder - although please don't worry if a post ends up in the wrong folder!
Tip for the day: OATMEAL! I have been getting SO hungry at work by 10 a.m. that I end up eating my tiny brown-bag lunch by 11, and then by 2:30 or 3 p.m. I'm starving again, with a long way to go before dinner and nothing healthy to tide me over. But the other day I ate oatmeal for breakfast (with some reduced-fat bacon bits sprinkled on top - ok, not the healthiest, but it's lower-carb than dried fruit, and very tasty), and I made it all the way through the morning with no hunger pangs! I know Pwid eats oatmeal for breakfast, often with dried fruit such as cherries or raisins, and it works for her, too.
We're going to be at the beach next week (yea!), and I will be eating a lot of seafood, so wish me luck w/ dieting - heehee!
