The oprah.com web site, under fitness, has a list of "eight essential exercises" that we can do with our cute little dumbells. They're good ones, too! Best of all, if you have RealPlayer or Microsoft Media Player, you can watch video that shows you exactly what the exercise is supposed to look like.

I looked on iVillage and didn't find anything similar, so I don't have any qualms about sending you elsewhere!

Sue -- I asked my trainer about the elliptical machine and he's going to show me how to use it tomorrow. We'll see!

Thanks, Pwid - I printed out the information. I am trying to work on getting into some sort of shape as far as arms and upper body, before the baby comes, but meanwhile I have done something to my shoulder (probably from shopping last weekend - I bought several pr. of shoes on sale at an Ecco outlet and had to haul them around for quite some distance, and there was no one to help me, no shopping cart, etc.) so now I am having to be extra careful again. We walked this a.m., even though it felt like a steam bath out there. Ken said, optimistically, "Maybe it'll be cooler tonight and we can walk again!" but I thought, no, it'll be hotter. Maybe we can walk on the treadmill, though. Hmmmm...if he would sit there and talk to me while I'm on the treadmill it would help a lot, and I would be willing to do the same for him! But he just puts the TV on ESPN and watches a ball game or something and walks away.
