This is day 1 of my cycle and its been horrible. In the past I have had my worst symptoms every other month before my period. But every month it just gets worse. The symptoms last longer and are more extreme. No one else I know deals with PMDD although a lot of people who know me can see that clearly I am a different person 1 to 2 weeks out of the month and agree that it is a problem, they don't know how to support me or to give me advice on what to try.
I have been married for nearly 10 years and I think my husband can only take so much of this before he hates me and leaves. I have tried YAZ but after a month I felt like i was pms'ing every day. Does anyone have any suggestions?

((Hugs))  It's frustrating, isn't it?  How long were you on the Yaz?  I have heard that it's best to give it about 3 months to see how it's going to work for you.

Have you tried any natural remedies to see if it helps lessen your symptoms?

(c&ping this from another post)  Some women do find relief using herbs such as evening primrose oil and chaste tree berry.  I had someone recommend passion flower for the anxiety and it really seems to have helped.

I also recommend calcium and magnesium suppliments.  As well as B-6 or a B-complex supplements.

Daily exercise can help relieve symptoms.  Also a diet rich in complex carbs and protiens.
