DD#2 has been potty trained for awhile.  Awhile back she started having accidents and said it hurt to pee so I took her to the dr.  They put her on meds and a couple of days later the accidents stopped.  Then they called and said she didn't have a UTI and to discontinue the meds.  So, I did, though I didn't want to completely.  But she did fine for quite some time.  Even though now she HAS to use the potty in the masterbath and won't use the main one.

Then a couple of days ago the accidents skyrocketed.  The masterbath potty broke, so she can't use it.  And she pees everywhere now.  I just don't know what is going on or what to do.  It's driving me nuts!

Any advice?

Is she still saying it hurts?

Plenty of toddlers I know regress from potty training for a few weeks.  (She's 3, right?)   But the pain issue would concern me.

I don't know if you use homeopathy, but when Thomas was whining and uncomfortable while urinating, I used cantharsis (6c) and it stopped.  I use it when I get a UTI too.

If the pain continues, I would see a specialist.  That's just me though.  You've had 4 kiddos so you probably aren't as paranoid as I am.  :)

Hope it gets better soon.

Ugh.  I hate it when they relapse.  Sydney started doing that too.  She just became too involved and busy to get to the bathroom.  I also noticed she would relapse any time that Nick was sick and my attention was more on him.

I know they say not to make a big deal of it BUT I this is what I did:  She LOVES dresses and wears one almost every day (how is she my daughter?).  I told her that each day she had an accident that could have been avoided she would have to wear either pants or shorts the next day.  The accidents stopped pretty quickly.  I also used to make her help me clean up her accidents at home and take her pee clothes up to the laundry.

Jen,

I see a power control issue here! I recommend some diapers and a lot of duct tape to keep them on! ;-) OK, that's the best I can do at the moment, LOL.

ROFL, Heather!

Update for everyone:  Well, I decided to try the ol' bribery method.  Every time she went potty and didn't have an accident, she would get a mini York Peppermint patty.  Haven't had an accident since.  I also gave up and let her use our potty.  And now she's not even sleeping in pull-ups.  She decided she wanted to sleep in undies.  We usually get her up to potty before we go to bed and she's been doing great!  The little booger.

Jen
