Hello ladies,

Please send your good vibes and prayers our way! I'm pregnant again and really freaked. Frankly, I thought I was going to have more time to think about this; the last time we tried it took us 9 months. Getting pregnant the first month trying wasn't really expected...

Here's a good laugh for you though; I took the test at work because I was going to take some cold medicine and I decided I better double check (I had a negative test on Sunday). I really didn't think I was pregnant so when I glanced at the test and I saw the two lines, I just about fell over. I covered the test with paper towel and ran out to show my office-mate. The girls in the Microbiology lab next to my office thought I was carrying a stool sample! My advice; Never Ever Test At Work!!!

So, I am now being referred to one of the Perinatologists I had a consultation with. Over the course of the last 6 months, I've met with two groups of Peris and one Internist (doc of Internal Medicine-not one of those hot 20 year old guys-those are interns). They all agreed that I should not be treated with anticoagulants. The Peri that I will be referred to might treat with steriods-but he said he wasn't sure. Apparently nobody really knows what's going on and they don't want to treat unless they know. Ugg. I've lost two babies mid-trimester and I am really freaked out it will happen again. At least the Peri that I'm being referred to likes to do those doppler studies on blood flow.

I've been on baby aspirin and about 3-5 grams of EPA/DHA a day. Oh, and good old folic at @ 4 mgs. Thank god I work at a vitamin manufacturing facility!

Wish me luck and send all those good vibes our way.

Thanks for reading,

Jen

Sending lots of good vibes!! I laughed reading about taking the test at work- I did something similar right before I left for my yoga class one time. I was dumbfounded when it came back positive and had to ask two coworkers if I was hallucinating :)

GL and keep us posted! Hugs ~Amy

Congrats Jen!  We know how exciting and scary this time is!  I had 4 losses in between my 2 boys and still don't really know why.  These early weeks were undescribable... but know we understand and will help you each step of the way...

Take care of yourself and one day at a time!

All the best,

Kristin :o)
