discussion title: having P.T.S.D.
In July of 2000, I was kidnapped in Ensanada,Mexico. I eventually found out it was my bestfriend of 23 yrs that had sold me to a drug lord in the barrio. After screaming to anyone,even the policia and the federales, I realized that they do not care about me (american)they wanted this biggest drug familia in Ensanada,Mexico. After two months I accepted the fact that I was either going to die there or I was going to kill him to try and escape.After time went on I knew I couldn't do anything to him or else they would just kill me. The memory of my 3yr.old son,kept me thinking I was going to escape someday. So,I got the Stockholm Syndrome,by becoming them I learned their ways ,the familia,the barrio exit,only one way out. And that was always covered by his guards. I was locked up,raped ,drugged daily with heroin,and beaten legs so I would not try and escape. One day after 4 months being there ,the federales got him walking off property with 6 grams of heroin and put them in their cars and threw the keys to the schack in my face and called me a "stupid american" and find myself out of the barrio by myself. It took me ten days to finally get out of the barrio and downtown Ensanada. I literally asked Americans what time,date it was.I hitched rides back to the states and someone donated a bus ticket back to las vegas,nevada. Went to the shade tree shelter,and the F.B.I. for kidnapping an American. To this day I know the Lord helped me alll the way out of hell. I give praise to him and him only,because I shouldn't be ALIVE TODAY.But still have dreams of being kidnapped after nine yrs. so anybody out there that doesn't believe in the Higher Power of our Lord , I'm a testament to a miracle.I'm alive.

Thank you for posting this. I am very sorry for what you had to experience. I assume by the title of your thread, that you have PTSD as a result of this. Are your PTSD symptoms under control? Have you received professional help in dealing with the memories?
