Rape Survivors

Next week (Sept 5) this board will be made a read-only board.  The archives and all posts will remain available, but it won't be possible to post here. 

We've often found that merging smaller communities results in one larger and stronger community and hope you'll visit the Rape Crisis Center board for continued support.

My name is Poppy and I am one of the CLs of the Crisis Center: Rape and Suicide. 

Whilst I am sad that the Rape Survivors' board is closing down, I would also like to tell you that you have other resources on iVillage in which to talk about rape and sexual assault. A few years ago I was also a regular poster on the Rape Survivors board, and my former co-CL on the PTSD was the former CL of this board, too. This board has helped a lot of women deal with the issues of sexual abuse, and without it and its wonderful CLs and members, these women would not have gotten the support and help that they deserve.

I hope that you will come and post at the Crisis Centre whenever you need to talk. Both Karen and I are always there to listen. Like here, the Crisis Center is a safe place to talk and share your experiences with other women.
