I voted no although I wish I could. I have a suspected sensitivity to eggs and since the vaccines for flu are cultured in chicken eggs, I can't have them (as far as I know, of all the jabs I've had over the years, flu is the ONLY one so cultured and I wonder why they don't have an alternative culture method...).

So here's hoping that I already have that partial immunity that we oldies are supposed to have since I have asthma, H11N1 could be an issue, despite my age...) and I'm staying away from large group gatherings as much as feasible.

i had to vote other because i plan on getting both shots. i already got the flu shot and hopefully i will get the h1n1 early next year. it has been predicted that 1/3 of the residents of my state will get the swine flu. i don't want to be one of them.

I got the seasonal flu shot already, and will likely get the H1N1 shot when it becomes available. Last year was the first year in about the last 10 that I didn't get a seasonal flu shot, and of course I came down with the flu and was waylaid for a week.

Nope! I don't believe in them. The flu shot vax's you against a couple strains of flu they *think* might hit that season. There are thousands of flu viruses out there, so the likelyhood that you've been vaxxed against the right one is pretty slim. Also, that virus you were vaxxed against will mutate and become a different virus next year, thus rendering your current vax useless.

As for the N1H1 virus, I think it's totally being blown out of proportion. Yes, it's a nasty virus, but so are all flu bugs. The N1H1 vax is so new, I don't trust it anyway.
