I haven't been in here before mostly I go to get answers about my hysterectomy. But that all done and over with. I have noticed that I do tend to get blah feeling when it cloudy for a few days at a stretch. I get excited to see the sun. I haven't noticed if it affects my sleeping pattern , could it? I not sure what exactly to look for, symtoms and such, let me know what I can look for. Thanks in advance

Alice

Hi Alice and welcome

I would suggest the link here  on ivillage http://www.ivillagehealth.com/experts/emotional/qas/0,,166185_766,00.html for info.  I know i get more tired and I want to sleep more.  I get that sorta "leave me alone" feeling, moody, sometimes sad when there is no sun.  I always thought they should have called it hibernation sickness.  Also look at google.com and put in either SAD or seasonal affective disorder.  tons of info out there.  I try to get outside when it is sunny and I take Inositol for the moodiness.  it helps.  They have done studies on it to treat mild to moderate depression and have gotten great results.  it is a b vitamin and you can get it at healthfood stores and vitamin shops.  I hope you come back we are here for you.  Yes my sleep patterns have changed.  I sleep more and more deeply.

Lynn
