this is an article that i found on msnbc: http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/33246499/ns/today-today_fashion_and_beauty/?GT1=43001.

i would like to hear what you think about it, especially how you feel about cosmetic surgery. do you think it should be flaunted, as in this case, or kept under wraps?

Okay, I will first say that I am a card carrying feminist!  I think "beauty" pageants belong in the dumpster along with the Barbie dolls.

Honestly, when you line them up, it's like looking down a street in a housing division, they all look the same, just three different styles.  One may have green shutters while another has red, but they all look alike anyway.

I have no objections to plastic surgery, if it repairs an injury, or is supported by a health decision; such as too large of breasts, making the woman incur back ailments, etc.  I just can't help but wonder about the person that is married to someone, only to have a child that doesn't look like either one of them....then what??  Infant cosmetic surgery.  Wouldn't that be a "hoot"....to find out from your spouse that they really don't look like what they appear to be..only known because of the birth of a child, exposing the secret!!

that would be really funny :) and i'm sure it would raise a lot of issues! i can't wait to see the "reality TV" show!

i don't have objections to cosmetic surgery if it's for medical reasons, or if someone was in an accident. but only for vanity? what's wrong with looking like yourself?
