This is so amazing! I happened upon this board by chance, and I've never before heard that fibromyalgia was directly linked to sexual abuse. It makes so much sense!
Hi. I'm Sofie. I'm a new member at the Bi-Polar Message Board. I found fibro listed as part of the Bi-polar Disorder Affective Spectrum. I learned that my claustrophobia was from the sexual abuse, but never made the connection to the fibromyalgia. I am both bi-polar and a survivor of childhood sexual abuse (father).
Suppressing and repressing emotions is costly. It can be deadly.
There is a book I'm looking for: The Molecules of Emotion by Nancy P-something. Has anyone come across it? It binds the physics to the physiology.
