First steps for a tubal reversal....
Steps for a tubal Reversal
1. You need to obtain a copy of your operative and pathology reports from your tubal ligation from either the doctor that performed the tubal ligation or the hospital where the tubal ligation was performed. Some hospitals charge a small fee for copies of the operative and pathology reports. Please note that depending on what type of ligation you had such as cauterization or fallopian bands there will more than likely be no pathology reports.
2. Make several copies of your operative and pathology reports, be sure you keep the copy that you got from the hospital where your tubal ligation was performed or doctor that did your tubal ligation.
3. Start looking for a reputable doctor that specializes in tubal reversals. Send copies of your operative and pathology reports to a couple of different doctors that you are considering doing your tubal reversal.
4. Check to see if your insurance will cover a tubal reversal. Do not be surprised if insurance doesn't cover your tubal reversal, because most insurance companies do not cover the tubal reversal.
5. When you have researched different doctors to perform your tubal reversal set your appointment date.
