I'm scared.  I originally had a "routine" (if there is such a thing any more) appointment with my ophthamologist two weeks ago.  I had to reschedule, though; I have had the swine flu and developed complications (pneumonia and asthmatic bronchitis).  I noticed during the past few weeks that my vision has worsened.  I am hoping against hope it is side effects from some of the many medicines they gave me to take, but I really doubt that it is.  My doctors have already given up on my right eye and this is the left eye that has worsened.  With so many vision issues, I never know what could be the problem.  Say a prayer please and I will keep y'all posted.

It's always scary when our eyes are involved.  Sending lots of healing prayers your way.

It's true though that meds can affect your vision, like decongestants and anything that changes the blood vessel dilation or pressure.  Let's hope for that.

The ophthamologist doesn't think my visual "disturbance" is medicine related, so we are going to the retina specialist on Monday.  He did say he didn't see any signs of hemorrhaging, which may mean it is the histoplasmosis.  We will know more Monday.

Hoping for the best outcome.  Please let us know what they say on Monday.

I'm so sorry sweetie. I'll pray its medicine related and not anythig permanent.

What are your plans if it is permanent? Do you have any support from any groups such as CNIB?
