We knew my Dh brother was not well and we thought maybe he might be more sick than he was letting us know, but our worst fears have been confirmed.

On Friday we got a call from Sil wanting to talk to Dh. She told him his brother needed to take to him asap. It was already late afternoon and our dog had her teeth cleaned that day and we had to pick her up but as soon as we got the dog we headed over there.

Dh's brother told him he has terminal pancreatic cancer that has now spread to his colon, liver, lungs and possibly the brain. His time is short now. He has known since last March but the chemo was working for a while and he didn't want ot upset his brother. Tried to tell him three different times he said but just couldn't but knew he had to finally tell him.

I will not be around as much because we will be spending most of our time with Dh brother until this is over but I will be stopping in as much as I can.

So sorry for the sad news! My thoughts are with you and your DH & his brothers family for the upcoming time. We at school are waiting to hear the update from one of our teachers who just took her DH to the Mayo clinic last week for a clearer prognosis of his pancreatic cancer as the last test results here were not good. We won't know til we return from break - but it doesn't look good for them either.

So sorry to hear your news.  Unfortunately, pancreatic cancer is still one of the worst to contain.  I hope that your being able to spend time with him will be a blessing for all of you.  I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Hugs,

Mare so very sad to hear that news... I knew you were susspecting it to be bad but to hear it and have it confirmed that is not easy to hear at all!

Keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers.  I know how close your dh and his brother are and can only imagine how hard this is on him.

Don't worry about us here  your thoughts and stuff need to be there with your dh and dbil and dsil.

Big hugs,

HI Jo

I sure hope your teacher dh has better luck than my Bil. Such a hard thing to have and a very hard cancer to even try to get into remission. Seems the outcome is mostly never good.

Will be keeping postive thoughts for your friend.
