Your Well-Being: Ages 60 Plus

Boy, are they sick!  Another school has closed (youngest DGrD's), because over 700 children are out sick with the flu.  I guess the most dangerous part is if they get pneumonia after they start to recover.  Both had to go to the E.R., because their doctor's couldn't handle seeing any more patients. 

DH & I had a nice weekend.  He's taking me to places that I like (antique malls, etc.) so that I'll walk more than if I stayed home.  As a result the hip pain is lessening with every week!  What a way to heal;-)

I'm still reading during every spare minute that I have.  So many books, so little time.  I love browsing book stores & have many waiting to be read.  Some of my favorite places to buy books...Goodwill & the St. Vincent dePaul store...the prices are great.  I've discovered that book stores often donate their overstock to these places.

Tonight my sister & I have our monthly "meeting" at a restaurant that makes yummy liver & onions.  It's a time to which we both look forward.  I have to pick out some books for her, so better get off the computer & get busy around here!  Hope you're all having a good day.   Cal 

i love liver and onions too,cal. havent made it in ages! my two youngest grand kids havent been in school since it was closed on tuesday afternoon because of the swine flu. there are a few other schools that are closed in the southeast area also. hope your drkids recover quickly. it seems to be hitting the younger crowd more so.

i m reading the summer on blossom street another book in the blossom street series...i do enjoy debbie mc combers and susan wiggs books...

i was thinking about you today. we drove over lake michigan on the hoan bridge and the swells outside the harbor were gigantic...hugs min
