Ladies:

Please be careful of getting rebound colds & flus.  Thought I was over my cold, but after visiting a friend last week, I am now down once again with a bad cough and a plugged up nose.  My DR told me that these colds have a tendency to hang on long after you think they are gone, then they rebound back, once again wiping you out.

Take every care to stay well.

 Always, Lou

Lou, I was told that the rebound from this flu is often pneumonia, so do be careful! Schools have reopened & my DGrDs seem to be fine now. It's just the start of the season & I wonder how much worse it will get. My grandfather died during the flu epidemic of 1918(? not sure of the date) at a very young age, leaving my gramma with 2 little girls & expecting a 3 rd....sad.

Hope you're feeling better soon! Cal

Cal:

The Dr. called today with my lab reports, seems I have an sinus infection along with Bronchitis.  I've had my Pneumonia vaccination last year, but still you can still get very ill from this seasons flu.  I'm ok, taking what they call a Mega-antibiotic.  Two the 1st day, 1 tab everyday for 5 more days.  Dr. did tell me to stay home (like I feel like going anywhere).  Dr. did say the Re-bound colds are actually harder to treat than the original cold/flu.

I'm just going to hang out at home for a while and get well.  Next week is my DGrnD's school assembly for Veterans.  DH has been invited along with her DDad.  Can't disappoint Jessica, she would be very hurt.  Thank you for your kind words.  By Tuesday I will be going stir crazy, but hey that is ok.  Take very good care of your self.  Stay warm and dry.

 Always, Lou
