Dealing With Difficult People

My neighbors suck.

Every time the temperature outside is above 40 degrees, they are out on the back porch drinking, smoking like chimneys, swearing, and singing drunkenly. They have a rather large house close to ours. Their deck is level with my bedroom window and maybe 30 feet away. It sucks. I can't keep my windows open for the nice fresh air because those idiots are out there performing and the smoke from them chain smoking comes right into my bedroom if a window is open.

I guess it's time to buy some fireworks.

Last summer, when they did that crap, we set off fireworks. It woke up their kids and their friend's kids (thier friends come over and bing thier kids to spend the night). They muttered stuff that I couldn't hear and went back into the house for the rest of the night after that. Peace at last!!!

Hi cherry. Welcome to the board. This kind of problems are hard to solve since they live there and it is hard to tell them they cannot socialize. It is most unfortunate that your window is across from their deck.

You could ask them to please keep it a bit quieter and be really nice about it. That might help some. The problem is that they do not think they are doing anything wrong.

I do understand how you must feel. We live in a condo and get to hear everything.

Let us know if you have found a way to solve this problem or to atleast make it better.

Do you have any fireworks on hand? It may be time to set them off. lol. MaryAnne
