Hi Selenna, What a pretty name you have. I do understand how you feel and although I have work it is rather uncertain of how things will go. They already posted a message that there would be no wage increases this year. They are doing that in order to help keep us all working. At one point there was a write up in the paper that the hospital could close but thank God it didn't. It is my first year there and so I am starting over and my wages are not going to increase this whole year.
I often do not know how all the bills are going to get paid. I sit there with piles of paper work. It is rather scary at times to see all that is going out.
One thing I did was start doing away with the credit cards except one for emergencies. That has helped.
I too get discouraged and then try to think of how God has brought me through 64 ys of life and isn't going to let me down now. I had to stop buying gifts for the grandchildren as I have 16 of them and 2 more enroute. lol.
My faith sometimes wavers. I confess that it is hard with this economy the way it is can be rather scary. My COBRA ran out from my previous job and I had to purchase health and dental coverage which isn't cheap at my age but Medicare should help when I turn 65.
I have to laugh when I think I am too old for a lot of things but too young for full retirement and Medicare. But I am neither too young or too old to have faith in a God that has never let me down and I have an abundance of energy that none of the younger employees have and that I am greatful for because believe me I have to work. My husband is 70 and he works full full time.
I want to cry sometimes. And I do. I then think of what I have, not what I don't have. What you and I have money cannot buy.
I am so glad you are hanging onto your faith. I can see why others look to you for strength. Your faith will carry you through believe me. Times are hard but we will see it through. Take care. MaryAnne
