Hello Everyone,
I'm looking for ideas to make a plant stand for my front porch. I like cottage and arts and crafts style. I've been looking at antique stores and haven't found anything. Thanks in advance. gina

Hey there Gina!

Long time no see, welcome back.

You want to make your own plant stand? Sounds like a fun project. You can make one out of anything you might already have in your home. Like a backless bar stool painted to match your house trim, stacked foot stools or some large, different size terra cotta flower pots stacked and turned upside down . I made one out of a old maple rocking chair I found in a dumpster by just cutting a hole in the seat for a flower pot filled with colorful flowers.

Did you want a big one to hold many plants or just for one plant? There is many many types online if you Google, but I especially loved these that are cottagey and you can paint or stencil anyway you like. They can be made out of scrap wood pallets and or some purchased wooden picket fence, you can get in home depot or just make the pickets yourself out of the pallet wood.

See how you like them: http://www.gardengrapevine.com/PlanterPlans.html
