Lungwort
Description
A wonderful flowering perennial for sunny to lightly shaded places, the dark green leaves of lungwort are usually spotted with silver and light up the landscape, especially in darker nooks. It grows 9 to 24 inches and spreads up to 2 feet. It can be one of the first perennials to bloom in late winter or early spring with lovely little clusters of bell-like flowers in pink, blue, purple, and white.

Soil and Light
Likes rich, well-drained but moist soil with ample moisture. Full sun to partial shade.
Planting
Plant established plants in spring in all zones or also fall in Zones 7 to 8. Work in plenty of compost at planting time and mulch to conserve moisture and control weeds.

Trim spent blooms. Divide in spring or fall as desired.
