Like everyone else, I am disappointed that the magazines are closing boards. While I didn't post here as often as I might have (time constraints more than anything, and also a crafting slump, I hate to say), I liked this place and the two of you, Jan and Trish! Your swaps were fun and imaginative and you were always full of great information.
I do look in on your iConnect group and am glad you will be keeping it going.
I don't know what all is available at iConnect but I do know that, like Jan said, there are loads of little crafting groups and forums setting up over there. Just plug in a search on the "groups" page where "Crafts, collectibles and hobbies" is a category but also try "Home" category as well because I know a lot of groups were set up there before they added the crafts category and there doesn't seem to be a way yet to relocate groups (iConnect is still Beta and there are a few glitches...)
I thought I'd post my list of iVillage crafting boards for those of you who might not be familiar with it. There are overlaps with Jan's list, but it shows you the diversity of boards on the different channels. I know Martha (crazycalicokitty) posts at nearly all the knitting/crocheting ones, as do I on occasion, so you won't be among strangers, I promise!
