In fact it was one of those nights of waking every couple of hours. Makes for a crappy nights sleep. At 2:30 I gave up and got up.  Gave me some time to catch up here.

Also, I need to ask for those powerful Ladybug prayers for my son. He is dealing with some family and personal issues. It's so hard to sit by and watch one of your kids, no matter how old, struggle through life.  Also pray we are doing the right thing by him. Yes, this is one of the reasons for a crappy night sleep.

I've also had to deal with using my laptop.  Since everything has to be plugged into it (DSL, printer, & mouse), it looks like someone in ICU. I can't sit back with my feet propped up and relax. My PC had to be taken into the shop for fan failure and no sound. The last time I was cleaning around my computer desk, I dumped it on its head. So that may be the issue there...lol. I took it in last Thursday and have not heard from my computer man. Hopefully, I'll have it back in the next day or so.

I hope everyone is having a good week.

((hugs)))

Shirley,

Prayers for your DS and a resolution to his challenges.

I spoke to a computer guy who said that the computer fan should be cleaned about every 6 months.  A clogged fan will burn up a computer faster than anything. But I've never cleaned mine.  Figuring out how to remove the cover is hard enough. :)

Hugs,

K

Hi Shirley,

Prayers for your DS and you. It is hard not to worry when they struggle as adults. I was up all night Sunday helping my DD. It's what Moms do. Sure makes it hard to go to work the next morning. I was a zombie yesterday. Finally got to sleep about 4 in the afternoon with an alarm set to wake me for the baseball game last night. Lost the "stay awake" battle at the ninth inning LOL.

Your description of the laptop (looks like someone in ICU) cracked me up. That is a great image LOL. I have a wireless mouse on mine and no peripherals, but it sits on my kitchen table tethered to a power cord (I call it the "umbilical" cord). Hope you get your PC back soon.

Hugs,

Melissa

Being worried about a close family or friend is certainly cause for no sleep and they don't get any close than you own child no matter what age. You all have my prayers for a happy outcome.

Since my PC died, I have taken over my daughter's and set it up in the kitchen. I have a lot less room to work with but it works. I quite my DSL service and moden and got a Cricket that uses a USB port, so one less cord to deal with and more desk space. Now, if I could stop the mouse and keyboard cords for braiding together, I'll be a lot happier.

Wouldn't it be nice if whenever we messed up our life we could simply press 'Ctrl Alt Delete' and start all over?
