Yay Izzie was fired! Good riddance! As President of the Izzie Sucks fan club I'm hoping this change in her story line will lead to the phasing out of her character entirely.
I actually thought it was nice Christina had a break down. Her character has been extremely unlikeable and emotionless since the show began yet only during her crying fit did we see a glimpse of a human in there. She has to learn that she can't sleep her way to the top and surgeries aren't all about her. She isn't a team player, she doesn't teach her interns, she has a horrible bedside manner with patients, and she's extremely arrogant. Rather than looking inward at herself and wondering why none of the attendings want to work with her (and some of them very harshly told her why) she gets mad and whines. Far from mature behavior if you ask me. She has to be a human being in order to be a successful surgeon and I'm curious to see if her being knocked off her pedestal will help her discover that as the show continues.
Meredith is in bed because she gave her biological dad a kidney or something. Apparently the recovery is a month and they're letting her do part of that in the hospital. I think we all need a break from her post it marriage anyway and its a decent cover for her irl maternity leave.
And Bailey going to Private Practice? Ehhhh I hope not, but they sure left the door open with the crossover this week and the flirtation with Sam. Grey's wouldn't be Grey's without Bailey. I do hope they show more of her character and give us more insight about her life outside the hospital with her son. Her sparring with Charlotte on Private Practice was pretty funny though.
Was it just me or did all the Mercy West girls look the same? Pale, short brown hair, and annoying? I'm surprised Lexi didn't fit right in with them they all seemed like carbon copies of her.
