Governor Eliot Spitzer has been caught on a federal wiretap arranging to meet with a high-priced prostitute at a Washington hotel last month.

The Governor then holds a press conference with his wife by his side.

It's difficult for me to believe there are any women out there who tolerate other women in their relationships.  However,  I cannot imagine what woman would tolerate infidelity with a prostitute.

There are too many incurable diseases  to be had and I hope his wife runs the other direction, FAST!

hehe, I know.  If it were me, I'd be screaming "see yaaaa.  wouldnt want to be yaaaa."  His career and life are now in turmoil because of his pee-pee.  Some people should not acquire power because they are sloppy.  As a former prosecuter he had to know that he left a trail of people behind him who would be waiting for the day that he made a mistake.  He simply performed his job as prosecuter but people are nuts and revenge is personal.

Article in slate:

My favorite notion from the article is this:  "There was also a "surprisingly high prevalence of police officers demanding sex from prostitutes in return for avoiding arrest." ...really?  naaahhhh...the police would NEVER become criminals themselves - they deserve the *utmost* respect simply because they carry a badge and a gun, hehe.  How does that song go, "Just as every cop is a criminal and all the sinners saints....."

He obviously has some issues that need to be dealt with.  What he did was extremely stupid - it almost sounds like he somehow wanted to get caught.  Someone with his past experience has to know better.

As for his wife...well, that is up to her.  I would support her decision regardless of which way she goes.  I know a few people who have survived infidelity in their relationships & have gone on to have even stronger marriages once they went through counseling, etc.  And I know a few who have walked away & been much the better for it.  It really depends on the people involved & how hard they are willing to work to save their marriage.

About the infidelity aspect.... it seems Dr. Laura had something "special" to say. Sheesh!

While taking part in one of several panel discussions on the TODAY Show dealing with the breaking news that New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer had been connected to a high-priced prostitution ring, Dr. Laura seemed to offer an opinion that has released a storm of contriversy with this observation:

“When the wife does not focus in on the needs and the feelings, sexually, personally, to make him feel like a man, to make him feel like a success, to make him feel like her hero, he’s very susceptible to the charm of some other woman making him feel what he needs,” the popular psychologist and radio personality said.

She does go on to say that there are some instances in where it doesn't matter what the wife does, but it seems to me that they almost had to pull that admission out of her!

Don't even get me started on "dr." Laura.  UGH  That could be a two hour rant in itself.  She is a true piece of work.
