Future of GOP and moderate Republicans uncertain

By VALERIE BAUMAN, Associated Press Writer
Sun Nov 1, 6:57 pm ET

ALBANY, N.Y. – In a Republican Party struggling to find its identity, the surprise withdrawal of the chosen GOP candidate for a New York congressional race amid a rising conservative upstart renews a lingering national debate: Are moderates welcome in today's Grand Old Party?

The rest is here:

The Liberal Dems should be so thrilled since those so- called Republican moderates (RINOS) are leaving the GOP.  Why are they so concerned.  Truth is, they are in fear of Conservatives, like Sarah Palin.

The left leaning and RINO's are leaving the Republican party,  because they are going to the Democrats.  So why would the liberals be so concerned about the future of the  GOP.

The latest polls show the largest group of voters are Conservatives, not Dems, not independents, and not the Republicans.    It appears the Independents are moving, away from the Democrats,  to the conservative groups.

This is a BIG move, and rejection away from the Obama liberals, and I would bet the elections today, in key elections, will go to the Conservatives.  Even in a very strong Blue State, New Jersey; after a huge push and expenditures, the Dems could very well lose the Governors seat.

The liberal Democrats are going down in a BIG way, because they continue to support Obama's far left agenda.

I think you're right. And, I think that the Sarah Palins of the Republican party are the face of the party now. Democrats will have to run against Sarah Palin-types in the future. I think that they'll have to get to work to show voters that they are not like the Sarah Palin-Republicans and contrast their ideas/policies against the ideas of the Sarah Palin-Republican party. I do believe that there is quite a significant difference, so we'll just have to see how that works out.

"I think that the Sarah Palins of the Republican party are the face of the party now."

Well, the flash card industry will be thrilled to hear it.  Maybe we should buy stock ;)
