Kudos to the docs who are dcing their memberships in the assn because of this.

"Coca-Cola is among several corporate contributors to the American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation, a separate philanthropic group. These contributors include many drug companies, McDonalds, PepsiCo and a beef industry group. Henley said the academy is in talks with other foundation contributors to fund other materials for the group, but he declined to say which ones."

Some day we'll learn that we Americans aren't the brightest when it comes to health care reform.

Where I am not a fan of soda and personally don't drink it, Coca-Cola company also provides other healthier beverages such as Aquafina water and sports drink Powerade.

Living in Arizona, when playing sports outside in the extreme heat, water is just not enough for kids and they need to have electrolyte replenishment as well. Coca-Cola brand Powerade is a good product as well as Gatorade (I think by Pepsi...but not 100% sure).

Good for the American Academy of Family Physicians for fighting against the ridiculous demonization tactics the Dems have launched against soda and other benign products to push their socialist agenda...and good riddance to the few doctors who chose to pander and cave to the left's Machiavellian campaign.
