Everyone loves a good movie; maybe you're a fan of action drama or love to shiver with anticipation at the latest horror film. An outrageous comedy or a sentimental chick flick could rate first on your viewing list. One thing all good movies (and even some bad ones) share is they give us an escape; a time to step out of our lives and into a fantasy world. Let's be honest, movies have been a part of our lives since the first silent films hit the screen.  And, they can inspire some fun and interesting conversations.

In a recent gab-fest with a group of ladies, the question was asked "What's the first movie you saw that you probably shouldn't have?" Time to 'fess up!

Your responses may be featured on our Entertainment homepage and slideshows!

I saw one of the Alien movies, which was rated R, when I was in middle school. I vividly remember telling my mom "Moooooom, it's for violence, not bad words or sex!" (Complete with eye roll and "you're so uncool" voice!)

I also saw A Fish Called Wanda when it came out in 1988. I would have been 12-ish and my aunt, who was 17, took me. I think it's a funny movie now, but it was so raunchy - especially for a 12 year old. I knew I shouldn't have been there when we came out of the theater and everyone was waiting in line, in full costume, to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Ah, good times.

It's not really a movie, but I remember watching Thriller when it premiered. I was 5. Definitely should NOT have watched it. I remember having nightmares.

First movie would have been most likely Dirty Dancing. I remember begging my mother because this new girl in school was allowed to go see it. I was 9. I don't think it was too bad, but it probably shouldn't have been seen by a 9 year old. LOL

As a young child my brothers and I would visit my grandparents each summer.  I have memories of watching James Bond movies at their home at the age of 5.  For Your Eyes Only was my favorite.  I have not watched the movie in years but I can guarantee it was not appropriate for a 5 year old.  :)

Nightmare on Elm Street when  I was about 9, lol - my mom said I was too young, but I disagreed and hid under the kitchen table... big mistake!

(I didn't tell her until about a month ago that she had been right about it, lol.)
